The company is owned by long-term funds managed by the German investment fund manager Aquila Capital. APG, a Dutch pension company, is the majority owner of Sm\u00e5kraft. Sm\u00e5kraft has a vision of creating renewable values for future generations, and considers the Swedish market as excellent for using its expertise in a sustainable way. Furthermore, the company considers its establishment in Sweden as a natural step in the already successful and ambitious growth strategy. The project consists of eight operational hydropower plants and is Sm\u00e5kraft\u2019s first acquisition outside of Norway.
