The world-leading ranking institute Chambers and Partners has published its 2025 rankings, and for the seventh year in a row, Setterwalls Advokatbyr\u00e5 has achieved the highest possible ranking in the fintech category. This recognition solidifies Setterwalls\u2019 position as one of Sweden\u2019s leading law firms within fintech. In addition to the firm\u2019s top placement, three of Setterwalls\u2019 experts received individual honors.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Fintech is a driving force for innovation and growth in the Swedish business landscape. This transformation is not only reshaping the financial sector through new business models and value chains \u2013 but is also redefining the operating conditions for many companies.<\/p>\n

The fintech ecosystem spans from established financial institutions, banks, and major tech companies to agile, innovation-driven startups. As digitalization accelerates, fintech has become a key legal challenge in recent years.<\/p>\n

Setterwalls, with its extensive experience in the sector, annually publishes the Fintech Report<\/u>. <\/a>This year\u2019s report, launched on November 28, highlights an incoming wave of regulations that will impact Swedish companies significantly.<\/p>\n

Recognized expertise<\/strong>
\nToday, the independent, global institute Chambers and Partners presents the Fintech Legal 2025 ranking. For the seventh year in a row, Setterwalls is ranked at the highest level in fintech.<\/p>\n

The ranking particularly emphasizes Setterwalls\u2019 ability to combine deep legal expertise with a strong understanding of clients\u2019 business needs. It also highlights the firm\u2019s capacity to address complex issues, ranging from regulatory changes to technical and commercial challenges.<\/p>\n

In addition to the firm’s success, Setterwalls also received three individual recognitions in the 2025 rankings.<\/p>\n

Joacim Johannesson, who leads Setterwalls’ fintech group, maintains his ranking in Band 1. Tobias Bj\u00f6rklund, specialist counsel and expert in financial regulatory law, strengthens his position and advances from Band 2 to Band 1 in this year’s ranking. Niklas Follin, an expert in intellectual property and IT and technology-related matters, also rises in the ranking, climbing from Band 3 to Band 2.<\/p>\n

These individual distinctions further underscore the team\u2019s leading position in the market.<\/p>\n
