Setterwalls has successfully represented Alby PtX AB in the company’s permit application for large-scale hydrogen production

The Land and Environmental Court in Östersund has, by judgment 20 March 2025, granted Alby PtX AB a permit for the construction and operation of a hydrogen production facility in Ånge municipality, Västernorrland County. The court grants environmental permit for the full production of 82 000 tons of hydrogen per year and the corresponding amount of 652 000 tons oxygen gas per year. The permit application was submitted to the court in May 2024 and permit has now been granted in accordance with the company´s application. The permit is an important piece of the puzzle for the ambitious initiative on green hydrogen production.

The project has been developed by RES Renewable Norden AB and Prime Capital AG.
