Jon Meltzer

Jon Meltzer specialises in commercial dispute resolution and is a member of Setterwalls’ Dispute Resolution group.

Jon has extensive experience of both international and domestic arbitration, as well as litigation before the courts. He represents clients in complex commercial disputes across a range of sectors, including insurance, trade and retail, entertainment, and banking and finance.

His work covers disputes arising from M&A transactions, shareholders’ and joint venture agreements, agency and distribution agreements, and supply agreements. Jon also has considerable experience of professional liability and damages claims.

Alongside his work as counsel, Jon spent several years serving as a judge in both the Court of Appeal and the District Court. This gives him first-hand insight into how courts assess and decide disputes, which is a valuable perspective when shaping litigation strategy and presenting clients’ cases.
