Focus on Dispute Resolution at Washington DC event

Setterwalls hosted a meeting about dispute resolution in Washington DC – an event held together with the Ambassador Gunnar Lund, SCC (The Arbitration Institute of the Stockholm Chamber of Commerce) and Mannheimer Swartling.

The reception took place at the new Swedish Embassy on Potmac River in connection with a conference arranged by ICSID (International Centre for Settlement of Investment Disputes) together with SCC.

At the reception, we made significant efforts to emphasize the role that Sweden and SCC have in disputes under The Energy Charter (ECT) – a very current issue. SCC is known for its high level of competence and its strong merits in investment disputes under bilateral investment agreements.

The guests included mainly conference participants, representatives of the World Bank and a number of lawyers specially invited by us. The reception was very appreciated and well-attended. Lawyer Fred Wennerholm was Setterwalls’ representative at the reception.
