Setterwalls successfully advised Gapwaves AB (publ) (“Gapwaves”), a global leader in innovative waveguide technology, in entering a joint development and supply agreement with Valeo, a French leader in Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (“ADAS”). The collaboration focuses on the development and large-scale serial production of waveguide radar antennas for ADAS applications.

The agreement, which is expected to generate mid-range double-digit million euros in sales over approximately 10 years starting in 2025, marks a significant milestone for both companies. The new radar antennas will be developed using Gapwaves’ proprietary Multi-Layer Waveguide technology, which promises cost-efficient production and significantly enhanced performance.

Through this partnership, Valeo and Gapwaves aim to provide car manufacturers with advanced radar-based functions, such as blind-spot detection and front or rear cross-traffic alert systems, thereby significantly improving and extending the capabilities of ADAS.
