Setterwalls has a large and competent litigation group with special expertise in property-related disputes.
We assist in all the various disputes that may arise as a result of business related to real estate. Examples include disputes concerning conveyance of real estate (liability for deficiencies, rights of use issues and rights in rem disputes, etc.), contracts, environment and issues related to property development.
In addition, the property group has its own competence to litigate in matters specific to the land law, such as mediations before the Rent Tribunal, other matters before the Rent Tribunal such as, for example, the determination of land lease fees, indirect right of tenure for non-residential tenants, validity of rights of use, planning and building maters, such as appealed zoning plans and objections to building permits, property formation processes, both regarding the actual property allotment process of the land-surveyor as such, but also, for example, appeals concerning compensation levels for compulsory takings, rights of way for cabling issues, disputes regarding the allocation of easements, and other disputes. The firm also has expertise in litigation matters related to property and environmental rights, such as shore protection.
