Setterwalls’ FinTech-Team is Top-Ranked Worldwide

Law firm Setterwalls receives an excellent ranking in the prestigious Chambers’ ranking as one of the best companies in the FinTech field internationally. This means that the firm climbs the ladder and places even better than previous years.

Several major banks, tech companies, authorities and leading entrepreneurs are now hiring Setterwalls for matters regarding IT-driven finance regulatory technology, known as FinTech. The organization Chambers is now giving the firm a high ranking in the field, placing Setterwalls in band 1, the highest level of five in the Chambers ranking system.

– We constantly aim to find the suitable special expertise that will keep us at the forefront. We have a very broad experience of FinTech that has taken us several years to build, through both hard and devoted work for a wide spectrum of clients in different stages of growth, from young start-ups to well established institutions. We plan to continue the same way. FinTech is a segment that cuts through several disciplines such as regulatory questions that affects financial services, guidance regarding company law, M&A, intellectual property rights, licensing of technology and data protection issues. This means that we need to have a diverse team in order for our services to be cut out for our clients. This ranking is a confirmation that we are on the right track, says Joacim Johannesson.

Despite the fact that Sweden is an important hub for multiple international FinTech investments, there’s a lack of pure competence within the field. Joacim Johannesson has worked for several years with the goal to build an expertise in questions regarding everything from blockchain to data security. Not only does this make the firm a leading actor in Sweden, it also makes them a reputable partner internationally.

– Sweden, and specifically Stockholm, is one of the most important hubs for FinTech in the entire world. In order to stay up to date with the development in that kind of context manpower is needed.
