The legal year 2024 – a winter greeting from Setterwalls Advokatbyrå

Macroeconomic uncertainty, digital advances and disruptive regulations. Henrik Kjellander, Executive Partner at Setterwalls, looks back on an eventful year.

2024 was a year characterized by both challenges and opportunities. The economy did not really want to take off and the world has entered what appears to be a tumultuous time. At the same time, bright rays of sunshine have appeared in the form of decreasing inflation and interest rates with increased activity raising optimism in several areas.

Our clients are operating at a time of regulatory change – and in some cases major challenges, arising from digitalisation. I am proud that, we at Setterwalls, continue to deliver first-class consultation, adapting to a changing world.

The legal profession explores AI

2024 was also a year of progress – a year where AI tools took their place in law. Here at Setterwalls, we have taken important steps in our digital development through increased use of generative AI. In 2024, with immense pride, we implemented the AI-driven platform Harvey throughout our business.

This investment has opened doors to even more efficient ways of working – and given us the opportunity to create increased value for our clients. It strengthens both our internal processes and our ability to quickly meet the complex challenges our clients face.

Three new partners strengthen the business

In 2025, we are strengthening the business with three new partners from our own ranks: Andréa Jällbrink, Tobias Björklund and Willy Fjellstad. They, undoubtably, will contribute with both invaluable experience and cutting-edge expertise in legal areas that are of vital importance to our future development.

Our new partners will contribute to our ability to continue to offer first-class business law and ensure that we can meet both current and future legal challenges.
