Setterwalls moves into the new top floors at Sturekvarteret – “Unique premises on the roof of Sturegallerian”
Setterwalls is expanding and upgrading. Sweden’s third largest commercial law firm is moving to the top two floors of the high profile Sturekvarteret development. With approximately 2,600 square metres of space and rooftop terraces offering panoramic views of Stockholm, the move is an important step in the firm’s growth strategy.
Setterwalls, with 320 employees and offices in Stockholm, Gothenburg and Malmö is Sweden’s third largest commercial law firm, and advises companies, organisations and public authorities on commercial legal matters, both locally and globally.
In the spring of 2027, Setterwalls will move into a spectacular office in one of Stockholm’s most talked about projects: the redevelopment of the Sturkvarteren. Setterwalls will lease two stand-alone buildings on the roof of the magnificent district.
“As a leading business law firm, our driving force is to strengthen the Swedish business life by assisting our clients with business law at the absolute highest level. Of course, our office should also be located at the top and maintain the same high standard! That’s why it feels fantastic that we will be conducting our business in Stockholm’s finest office. The new premises will enable us to create an incredibly fine working environment for our employees and clients here in Stockholm. An office to excel in, and a natural step in our growth journey,” says Henrik Kjellander, Managing Partner, Setterwalls.
Setterwalls’ office space spans the entire block and has three rooftop terraces in different directions, with sensational views of the Stockholm skyline. The unique premises are characterised by generous light, exciting floor plans and flexible spaces that are both open and closed.
Billion-euro investment preserving history
The preservation of the cultural and historical environment around Sturekvarteret is a billion-euro investment by ADIA, represented in Sweden by Tam Group. The historic facades from the 19th century are undergoing extensive restoration, while other parts are being expanded to meet today’s needs for function, design, and sustainability. The entire Sture project is expected to achieve LEED Platinum, the highest level of sustainability certification.
Reuse and preservation run as a common thread throughout the project. Some original details such as tiled stoves and woodwork are being preserved, while other period features such as paneling, and parquet flooring are being recreated in a modern style.
“We are very pleased that one of Sweden’s leading commercial law firms has chosen Sweden’s premier address. The lease is clearly a testament to the project’s strength and that our investment in sustainable quality was the right decision,” says Andreas Philipsson, project director for Sturegallerian AB.
