Profile

Jonas Frii is a senior partner with nearly 30 years of experience advising on energy, infrastructure, electrification and real-asset transactions across the Nordic region. He is widely recognised for his deep sector insight and long-standing presence in the market, acting for leading investors, developers, utilities, infrastructure funds and public authorities on complex project investments, financings and divestments.

Jonas has a uniquely broad track record across critical infrastructure, including data centers, large-scale grid and electrification projects, energy-intensive industries, battery and hybrid assets, solar and onshore/offshore wind. His experience covers the full lifecycle of major infrastructure projects, from land acquisition and permitting to power strategy, PPA/offtake structures, regulatory matters, long-term contracting and project execution.

He has played a central advisory role in many of the Nordic market’s most significant energy and infrastructure projects over the past decades, and is also active in the rapidly expanding Nordic data center sector — advising on grid capacity, regulatory frameworks, energy contracting and project delivery. His mandates frequently involve cross-border transactions, project financing and complex negotiations, and he has advised Swedish state entities including the Ministry of Finance and the National Property Board.
