Gender Pay Gap reporting and Diversity & Inclusion data collection – new EU legislation coming up!

What to expect and how to prepare.

The three law firms Setterwalls (Sweden), Bech-Bruun (Denmark) and Pinsent Masons (UK) are pleased to invite to an upcoming joint hybrid seminar.

The EU has adopted new laws which will place significantly more onerous obligations on employers in relation to the public disclosure of employee diversity and inclusion (D&I) data and pay information going forward. Even in countries such as Sweden and Denmark, which are generally perceived to have robust and transparent legal frameworks in place in relation to these issues, the impact of these new laws will be transformational. During this seminar, labour law experts from Sweden, Denmark and the UK will discuss the detail of these new laws, their likely impact and what employers can do now to prepare for their implementation.

In particular, the seminar will cover the following topics:

  • D&I data collection: Labour law specialists from Sweden and Denmark will explain the current legal position in the two countries and the likely impact of the upcoming EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive. A labour law specialist from the UK will share insights in relation to their experience in the UK of rolling out large D&I data collection exercises (sometimes globally) and the importance of a robust communications campaign.
  • Gender pay gap reporting: Labour law specialists from Sweden and Denmark will explain the current legal position in the two countries and what companies can do now to prepare for the implementation of the EU Pay Transparency Directive. A labour law specialist from the UK will share insights from a UK perspective, including the recent launch of the Government’s ethnicity pay gap reporting guidance, as well of details of how international businesses are endeavouring to take a “one business” approach to pay gap reporting.
  • Q&A session

Speakers: Åsa Erlandsson, Partner and Employment Law specialist at Setterwalls, Lise Lauridsen, Partner and Employment Law specialist at Bech-Bruun and Susannah Donaldson, Partner and Co-Head of Global Equality Law Team at Pinsent Masons.
