Setterwalls student team Wins Top Recognition in Frankfurt Moot
The Stockholm University team, sponsored by Setterwalls, won top recognition in the 5th Frankfurt Investment Arbitration Moot. The team advanced to the semi-final rounds and team member Daniela Palacios won the Best Advocate Prize.
Thirty-three teams from around the world competed in this week-long competition. The moot presents competitors with an investment treaty and a fictional investment arbitration dispute. Students assume the role of lawyer for both the investor and the state and present oral submissions on admissibility and jurisdictional objections.
The team consisted of two students from the Master of International Commercial Arbitration Law programme, Olga Nalyvaichenko and Malcolm Robach, and one student from the Master of Environmental Law programme, Daniela Palacios. The team’s participation was financed by Setterwalls and Marie Öhrström participated as arbitrator.
