Setterwalls has advised Axpo in connection with its acquisition of a battery storage facility with an installed capacity of 20 MW / 20 MWh from RES Renewable Norden and Scandinavian Capacity Reserve

Setterwalls advised Axpo in its acquisition of a battery storage facility of 20 MW / 20 MWh, located in Landskrona municipality. The battery storage will deliver services to the grid 2024 and be used to provide ancillary services to help balance the grid.

Axpo Group is Switzerland’s largest producer of renewable energy and an international leader in energy trading and marketing of solar and wind power and has more than 5000 MW of renewable energy capacity installed throughout Europe. For several years, Axpo Group has also been active in the development, construction, and commercial optimization of large batteries. The acquisition is in line with the company’s aim of developing the storage capacity in Europe.
