Setterwalls has advised Octopus Renewables Infrastructure Trust plc in connection with its acquisition of the wind farm project Ljungbyholm of 48 MW from OX2.

Octopus Renewables Infrastructure Trust plc (“ORIT”), a specialist renewables listed trust managed by Octopus Renewables, one of the leading asset managers for renewable energy in Europe, has entered into an agreement with OX2 for the acquisition of the Swedish wind farm project Ljungbyholm. OX2 will be responsible for the construction of the wind farm pursuant to a fixed-price turnkey construction contract. The wind farm, which is anticipated to have a capacity of 48 MW, is expected to become operational during the second half of 2021.

The transaction marks the first investment by ORIT since its IPO on the London Stock Exchange in December 2019 and is financed by the £350m raised in connection with the IPO.

Setterwalls has acted as legal advisor to ORIT throughout the entire process.
