Five new partners at Setterwalls – most to M&A
Setterwalls, one of the country’s leading business law firms, has appointed five new partners for 2011. The majority of these work in M&A, a practice group which has experienced a strong year. Dispute Resolution and Banking & Finance have also been growth areas.
– M&A continues to grow strongly for Setterwalls and during 2010 we saw markedly higher levels of activity than during 2009, which is also reflected in the appointment of new partners says Joakim Edoff, Executive Partner at Setterwalls. He continues:
– Dispute resolution – not least international arbitration – and aircraft financing are two expanding areas, which saw strong growth in 2009 and continuing expansion in 2010. These are areas in which Setterwalls have now appointed new partners, who will be able to build on this trend.
Johan Sidklev, 37 years old, based in Stockholm, has been with Setterwalls since 2002 and is a member of the Dispute Resolution and Shipping practice groups.
Johan Strömbäck, 33 years old, based in Stockholm, has been with Setterwalls since 2003 and is a member of the M&A and Dispute Resolution practice groups.
Magnus Eriksson, 44 years old, based in Stockholm, has been with Setterwalls since 2009 and is a member of the Banking & Finance practice group with a particular focus on aviation and railways.
Mattias Bergström, 37 years old, based in Göteborg, has been with Setterwalls since 2002 and is a member of the M&A practice group.
Niklas Eskilsson, 42 years old, based in Göteborg, has been with Setterwalls since 2002 and is a member of the M&A practice group specialising in Life-Sciences.
– It is very pleasing to be able to appoint new partners from amongst our own lawyers. It is also a positive indicator of the firm’s regeneration and renewal that all of the new partners are under 45, says Joakim Edoff.
