Setterwalls has represented Findus Sverige AB  and its shareholder Nomad Foods Ltd. in connection with the closure of the Findus factory with production in Bjuv and relocation of the company’s commercial unit (marketing and sales) to Malmoe

The closure means that a total of circa 400 indefinite employees are made redundant and circa 150 employees will be offered employment at Findus’ new office in Malmo. The company’s production ahead will mainly be focused to the group’s factory in Reken, Germany.

Setterwalls has advised Findus and its shareholder in the reorganization in its entirety, including, inter alia, counsel prior to and in all labour union negotiations. Setterwalls continues to represent the company in connection with, inter alia, the execution of the employment terminations.

The matter, which has received significant political and media attention, is one of the largest and most comprehensive assignments within labour law that has been handled by a single law firm in recent years.
