Setterwalls acted as Swedish counsel to medical diagnostic service provider SYNLAB on the sale of its Analytics & Services (A&S) business to SGS, a world leading inspection, verification, testing, and certification company. The transaction enables SYNLAB to fully focus on its core medical activities and drive further growth.

A&S is a leading European provider for environment, food, hygiene, pharma and products analysis and testing. In 2019, A&S generated sales revenues of more than EUR 200m and had approximately 2,000 employees including 335 in Sweden. The transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals.

SYNLAB owned by global private equity investor Cinven is operating in more than 40 countries with 20,000 employees.
