Setterwalls has assisted Priveq Investment and the other shareholders with the divestment of Ports Group, a leading European intellectual property and domain management company, to Bridgepoint. The deal marks an end to a long collaboration, during which several add-on acquisitions have been made that have added competence and geographical spread to the business.

Ports Group is a fast-growing and profitable company which delivers IP solutions and services within domain management, trademark management and web security to its customers. Central to the company’s offering is the in-house developed software platform ‘Ports Management’, which ties together the customers’ portfolio of intellectual property rights and offers an overview and automated management of the customers’ brand safety.

The company has approximately 130 employees which are located in, among other places, Sweden, Denmark, Switzerland, Spain, Malta and Italy.

Management and several key employees have reinvested part of the purchase price in the company and will continue to own shares in the company alongside Bridgepoint. For more information, please see the press releases from Priveq and Ports Group.
