Setterwalls has assisted Soya Group in the acquisition of forest assets from Stora Enso

Soya Group has entered into an agreement to acquire approximately 175,000 hectares of forest land from Stora Enso. The transaction, which is carried out together with a consortium led by German-based MEAG, covers 12.4 per cent of Stora Enso’s forest holdings in Sweden and is valued at approximately EUR 900 million. Upon completion of the transaction, Soya Group will hold 40.6 per cent of the newly formed company, while Stora Enso will retain a 15 per cent stake. This venture is part of Soya Group’s long-term strategy to invest in sustainable solutions with stable returns.
