Jessica Schönning

Jessica is a partner and heads Setterwalls’ Real Estate team.

Jessica has more than 20 years of experience providing sophisticated real estate advice to Swedish and international companies as well as public sector entities. She specializes in commercial leases.

Jessica is a skilled negotiator of large and complex lease agreements and has extensive experience of leases linked to new-build and redevelopment projects. She has broad sector experience spanning offices, education, healthcare, hotels, retail, logistics and infrastructure. In addition, she handles proceedings under the Swedish Planning and Building Act and has substantial experience in ground lease matters. She also advises on a broad range of other real estate matters, including joint property facilities and easements.

Jessica also advises on domestic and international real estate acquisitions and handles real estate disputes. Several of Sweden’s leading companies and public sector bodies retain her for ongoing legal advice and representation in proceedings.

Jessica is a speaker on commercial lease law and a member of the ICC Sustainability Committee.
