Martin Sandgren

Martin is a partner and head of Setterwalls’ energy group.

Martin is also a Solicitor (England & Wales) and an Attorney-at-law (New York). He has more than 15 years of experience at leading law firms in London, New York, Stockholm and Copenhagen, as well as serving as general counsel of a global energy company. He specialises in advising Swedish and international clients on large and complex energy and infrastructure projects and transactions. He has an in-depth understanding of the energy, infrastructure and transport sectors in Sweden, the Nordics and internationally.

He has particular experience in the fast-growing area of wind and other renewables. His expertise covers a wide range of energy and infrastructure areas, including power and renewables, transmission and distribution, batteries, waste-to-energy, ports and terminals, pipelines, refineries, water management and logistics and transport.

His assignments include M&A, financing, project development and procurement, offtake arrangements, regulatory matters and other contractual and legal issues, as well as legislative and political aspects.
